Written for our friends’ Cindy and Tim’s wedding, based on their theme verse, Psalm 103.  Originally performed by Allison, Anne, Matt, and Jun.

I look inside myself and find

Beneath the clutter of my mind

the fullness of my heart

Clear out the stacks of daily news

The brand new stuff I didn’t use

So I can start

I gather up my naked soul

Collect my strength to meet my goal

Of giving credit where it’s due

The memories of what went wrong

And how it’s changed- that is the song

I sing for you

How could I forget all that he’s done for me

How could I forget the great reward

    How could I forget

    He is Good

    He is Love

    He is God

In concrete shoes and sinking fast

I didn’t think my air would last

I took his hand

And since the Doctor’s found the cure

My ties to Him are strong and sure

And I can stand

He placed on my head a crown of compassion

That I might walk with you in you pain

He placed on my head a crown of love

That in our life love will reign

I will not forget all that he’s done for me

I will not forget the great reward

    I will not forget

    He is Good

    He is Love

    He is God
