It was Suzy’s birthday, and we had been dating for about three months.  So I rented a flatbed truck, warned the neighbors, conspired with her roommates, and managed to pull up in front of her house during the party and perform the only reggae surprise serenade in history (as far as I know)

My crude art and clumsy words

Can't begin to paint the picture

Hardly can believe the past

No idea of the future

Five and twenty years ago

The Father knitted you together

Numbered hairs upon your head

And suddenly the world was better

When I see the world through your eyes

Things take on a different hue

And when I feel the care you give me

I know God's love is true

When I live my life by your side

It's challenging and new

Life has 3 dimensions

Now that I'm living 4 2.

Things are different today

Boy to man and girl to woman

Used to let myself slide- like a child

Now I don't want that to happen

There's a perfect plan for us  (riff reappears)

Plans to prosper and to grow

Lacking wisdom and strength

Step by step we come to know

I love you.

Every day I have to blink

Just to make sure that it's real

More than love and more than joy

Is the feeling that I feel
